Abstract :
The primary aim of this work is to introduce a study and a comparison between three well-known algorithms used to estimate the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of a mobile user RF signal. In the present work, a Matlab program is designed to simulate the three algorithms, evaluate the performance of each and compare between them. The effect of varying different parameters on the algorithms´ capabilities is also considered. Measures of the resolvability of the algorithms together with a definition of a separation threshold resolution level are given and illustrated with 3-dimensional figures.
