  • Abstract
    The purpose of signal feature abstraction is to extract the substantial informations from the original data. This work proposes an appropriate approach in detecting local frequency of rapidly transient signal using wavelet transform. In particular, we make full use of the wavelet transform modulus maximum technique . Furthermore, a complete illustration of the theoretical background is provided underlying the measurement method. Simulation shows that this method is more effective than other known methods for frequency estimation.
