Abstract :
A time synchronization algorithm for WSN is proposed, which combines two-way synchronization with one-way synchronization, and corrects both time skew and time offset. Based on clustering network structure, two-way synchronization is established between cluster heads and base station, which has high precision. Here, parameter estimation and minimum variance unbiased estimation are adopted to correct time skew and offset. One-way synchronization is established between cluster members and cluster heads, which has low communication overhead, and linear regression is adopted to correct time skew and offset. Simulation results show that, the synchronization error of proposed algorithm is smaller, which improves synchronization accuracy. The synchronization cycle is longer, which reduces the number of synchronization. And the communication overhead is lower which reduces the energy consumption.
