Abstract
The author presents a basic introduction to (NMR) as a non-hazardous, non-contact, widely applicable measurement technique which is particularly useful for simultaneously measuring different phases (i.e. solid, liquid or gas) of a material. The reasons for the attractiveness of the technique are discussed and illustrated
