Abstract :
Summary form only given. The possibility of control of the instability is considered using ion beam injection in the discharge region where unstable oscillations are located. By changing beam parameters and the direction of injection the essential variation of instability level and flow intensity of ions from the discharge was obtained. The optimal ion beam parameters corresponding to the maximum ion cyclotron oscillations amplitude was defined. On the basis of results obtained, quantitative estimations for parameters of plasma ions which are employed in the instability were performed, including their energy spectra and qualitative consistency.
