  • Abstract
    The authors report the development of a supergrain array of four dipoles containing only one-fed element operating at 1.8 GHz. The array has a length of 0.6 λ and occupies an area of 8.4×10 cm2 at 1.8 GHz. The array, designed using maximum gain theorem, produces a gain of 7.8 dBd with a 0.5 dB bandwidth of 2.5%. Such array may find applications in narrow band personal communication systems
