Abstract
During the winter quarter at RIT a group of professors implemented the initial Game Design course using ideas from Lee Sheldon´s book “The Multiplayer Classroom”. At the end of the course my students took a survey and provided direct feedback about how well they thought the course had gone. Overall, the students had a positive view of the experience, however they did provide some surprising observations on what needed to be changed and on what they felt were serious concerns. In addition, they also listed a number of good ideas for improving courses being done using this format. This paper will cover the main issues we encountered and a selection of the ideas students provided for improving this type of course format.
