  • Abstract
Residential load schedulers are gaining momentum in Energy Systems and Smart Grids, because they contribute to reduce and to optimize the residential energy consumption and the dependency by the main grid. This paper proposes a system which solves complex scheduling problems allowing customization and configurations of residential parameters such as residential renewable resources and Hybrid Electrical Storage Systems (HESS). The scheduler takes into consideration different classes of residential appliances and price-control to minimize the cost of the energy and of maintenance. The proposed scheduling algorithm achieves up to the 45% cost savings and it is robust against quick and unexpected alterations of the inputs.
