  • Abstract
Blind channel identification has become a popular research subject. In this paper, we present the concept of myopic channel identification: blind channel identification based on known parts of the overall channel. By relying on known information such as pulse shaping filter and the anti-aliasing filter responses, the performance of channel identification and equalization can be significantly enhanced for digital communication systems. We present simple methods designed for time-domain and frequency domain implementations. Our simulation results demonstrate the performance of these approaches
