Abstract :
A new blood pressure measure method is addressed in this paper. The medicine clinical blood pressure measure method includes Direct Method and Indirect Method .The Direct Method used for seriously injured patient is to put a catheter into the blood vessel of the patient. The pressure sensor of the equipment can measure the direct blood pressure of patient, this measuring technique is very accurate but a invasive method. The Indirect Method is often used in clinical blood pressure measure monitor. The Korotkoff-Sound Method and the Oscillametric Method are the representatives of the Indirect Method. The Korotkoff-Sound Method needing a doctor to listen the sound of the blood stream by using a stethoscope is not suitable to an electronic blood pressure monitor. Simultaneously the Oscillametric Method used in the electronic blood pressure monitor is not accurate, so a new blood pressure measure method called Characteristic Method has been proposed. The Characteristic Method is a reform of the Oscillametric Method, it distinguish the SBP(systolic blood pressure ) and the DBP (diastolic blood pressure) according to characteristic point. The Characteristic Method establish the base line, upper envelope and under envelope according to the blood pressure measure waveform and finds the first characteristic point as the SBP, the second characteristic point as the DBP. The key of this method is to find the two characteristic points. No to calculate the inflection point of the blood pressure waveform and high accuracy are both the advantage of the method. Now the Characteristic Method has been used in a clinical blood pressure monitor in the market.
