Abstract :
When a power system is operating under unforeseen conditions or under unusually high stress, the system can face operational reliability problems from any of voltage instability, small-signal instability or transient instability phenomena. This paper will focus on recent tools that have been developed for fast detection and mitigation of static voltage instability mechanisms using synchrophasors.
