  • Abstract
The paper presents a new model of reverberating enclosures that can prove useful in testing compliance of small to medium sized devices to radiated immunity standards. The innovative environment is studied resorting to the principles of chaos theory, and results of a preliminary characterization by means of simulations are provided which show variations of some quantities of interest - such as isotropy and uniformity of incidence angles - when quantities like dimensions and position of the device under test, and characteristics of the signal source are varied. Results show that the uses of the investigated independent variables are limited to an appropriate range.
