Title :
Jitter and Signal Integrity Verification for Synchronous and Asynchronous I/Os at Multiple to 10 GHz/Gbps
Author_Institution :
Altera, San Jose, CA
Abstract :
Emerging jitter spectroscopy concept and new jitter merit of pulse-width jitter (PWJ) when data rate approaches 10 Gbps are first discussed in this paper. Then jitter and signaling verification requirements and methods for both synchronous and asynchronous I/O links and subsystems are covered. Built-in oscilloscope (BIO) technology for receiver testing also is highlighted, along with its capabilities and impacts.
