Abstract :
In this paper we did experiment about Wireless coverage area by BSS(Basic Service Set) and ESS(Extended Service Set) with different topologies. We did this experiment in the open large area where no wall or room because in the building the concrete wall or plywood wall affects the signal strength. Our main goal is to get best signal strength by using ESS. In the small office or small house 1 Wireless Access Point (BSS) is enough to get good signal. But if the area is large then it´s very hard to get signal in every corner. So in that situation we need to use more than one wireless access points called ESS (Extended Service Set). So in this experiment we use 3 different topologies Line topology, Triangle topology and L-shape, we measure signal strength by using BSS and ESS and compare with topologies. The area that we have selected is open area there is no concrete or plywood wall so the signal measurement is clear. There is different SSID in BSS for all 3 access point and same SSID in ESS for all 3 wireless access points.
