Abstract :
We present in this paper an algorithm of motion artifact detection applied to mobile ECG monitor. The popular ECG analysis algorithms used in mobile ECG monitor based on wavelet transform undergo considerable interference caused by motion artifact. This is due to the motion artifacts have a similar power spectra with the P-and T-wave in the S-T segment. To overcome this drawback, our key idea is to detect motion artifacts in scale with low sensitivity of low-frequency signal like P-and T-waves and then analyze P-and T-waves in high scale without the interference from unknown location of the motion artifacts. Our algorithm was applied to a set of exercise ECG data record collected by mobile ECG monitor; experiment results provide a detection ratio 98.33%, which demonstrates the superior performance of our algorithm.
