Abstract :
Today the power optimization has become a crucial concern in modern IC design. Multiple supply voltage (MSV) is efficient way to achieve low power. Most of the researches are carried out in the simulated annealing scheme. In this paper, a novel particle swarm optimization approach was proposed for multiple voltage islands generations at the post-floorplanning. This PSO was applied for resolving MVA with new operators. We have carried the experiments to demonstrate the feasibility of PSO. Simulation results are shown to be effective in voltage islands generation.
