Abstract :
Techniques of Medical Image Retrieval and Classification are used popularly in Computer-Aided Diagnosis. How to extract image features which reflect the content of an image is very important in Medical Image Retrieval and Classification. In order to solve this problem, there proposed a method using Gray-Cell difference Co-occurrence Matrix (GCCM) to extract texture feature of medical images in this paper. Then Euclidean distance and Support Vector Machine (SVM) are used for classification. Results of experiments showed that the proposed algorithm is effective on medical image retrieval and classification.
