Abstract :
This paper proposes an ordered binary decision diagram (OBDD) method to compute the accurate value of power network reliability. Firstly, this method decomposes the network to create OBDD and decreases the redundant states of reliability computations; secondly, it traverses the OBDD nodes to calculate the reliability value. Additionally, it makes use of hash tables to store OBDDs for isomorphic sub-networks and reliability for the same OBDDs, and the repeated computations are decreased with these tables. The experiments show this method can efficiently evaluate the network reliability, and it costs less time than factoring method when the network size is large.
