Abstract
Balanced gamma (BG) networks, which are based on 4×4 switching elements (SEs), the 2-replicated 2-dilated banyan networks and the batcher banyan networks have comparable hardware complexity. This paper studies the performance of MINs under bursty traffic type. It is shown that the performance of the BG network under bursty traffic is better than that of the 2-replicated 2-dilated banyan network and the batcher banyan network
