Abstract :
Design and development of smart weapon systems (specifically millimeter wave seekers and sensors) require both static and dynamic high resolution target and background signature measurements in order to test and evaluate automatic target recognition technology. MMW instrumentation radars capable of performing these types of measurements have been developed at Eglin AFB and are presently being used for foreign material signature exploitation and low observables technology evaluation. Similar types of MMW measurement capability are needed to support intelligent transportation collision/obstacle avoidance MMW radar systems
