Abstract :
Cloud detection algorithm is paramount to expand the energy budget of earth and water cycle which is utilized for research analysis. So the cloud detection algorithm ought to be solidified enough. This paper embodies different color models and their corresponding results which are utilized to segregate cloud tainted pixel from clear pixel, in view of threshold values. For the legitimacy of the algorithms, approach algorithms focused around HSV and RGB color model are applied for different underlying surfaces and examined on VIRR, NOAA and MODIS data sets consist of 800 images.
