Abstract :
Most algorithms and protocols developed to address the problem of maintaining uninterrupted communications and algorithms for addressing the resource allocation problem in wireless networks currently employ approaches that are either heuristic or are based on stochastic models. We suggest as an alternative, deterministic algorithms based on telegeoinformatics. Telegeoinformatics is the integration of position information, using the Global Positioning System, location information and analysis, using geographic information systems and position independence, using wireless communications. We believe telegeoinformatics provides advanced and efficient solutions for several wireless networking problems, and also brings about new capabilities to the wireless networking infrastructure. We provide an overview of this new multidisciplinary approach
