Abstract :
The onset of overstable motions in a nonpolar liquid confined between plane-parallel electrodes has been investigated. The liquid was assumed to possess a small residual electrical conductivity due to the dissociation of ionic pairs in the bulk. At the anode, a positive injection of ions has also been considered. The processes of dissociation and injection have been modeled by means of realistic laws that depend on the electric field
