Abstract
This paper considers the application of sequences with low correlation zone (LCZ) and zero correlation zone (ZCZ) to quasi-synchronous DS/CDMA communication systems. Several classes of sequences with LCZ and ZCZ are described. Numerical results show that the BER performances of systems using ZCZ sequences and LCZ sequences are comparable with the same number of users and almost the same processing gain. In addition, when the timing error is large, the ZCZ sequences perform better than the LCZ sequences. Analytic results are verified with simulations
