Abstract :
The research is focused on Reed-Solomon (RS) codes in combination with multiple phase shift keying (MPSK) schemes for Rayleigh fading channel. Two different RS-MPSK coded-modulation (CM) scenarios are considered respectively and investigated via both theoretical method and computer simulation. Motivated by a recently increased interest in multimedia services in third-generation mobile radio system (IMT-2000), this effective CM scheme is applied to compressed image transmission over a Rayleigh fading channel and results show that system performance is improved significantly
