Abstract :
This paper considers a simple model for hard-decision parallel interference cancellation in a code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system. Because practical systems will experience timing errors, the effect of timing errors need to be analyzed. Previous work in this area has relied heavily on simulation techniques. By analyzing statistical characteristics of residual multiple access interference we obtained a analytical expression for the bit error probability in hard-decision parallel interference cancellation with timing errors. Analytical results are shown to agree well with simulation
