Abstract :
We propose generalizations to the closed-loop transmit diversity concept adopted for the FDD mode of the third generation WCDMA system. The closed-loop mode has two sub-modes which both use terminal to base feedback to aid downlink beamforming. The proposed generalizations are applicable in the presence of an M-element array
