Abstract :
This paper investigates the trade-off behavior of the beamforming (BF) performance applied to the cellular DS-CDMA system. It is confirmed that the BF algorithm´s robustness to the erroneous factors of spatial scattering and direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation error is adversely related to the increase of the direction selectivity of the array antenna. The analytically derived signal-to-interference-noise-ratio (SINR) and its degradation are compared with the simulation results for the verification of the study
