Abstract :
In the IMT-2000 specifications, the turbo code can be used for one of the channel coding methods. Especially in the data transmission requiring high data rates, this scheme can be adopted. We design a turbo MAP decoder for IS-2000 which is one of the IMT-2000 specifications. Design parameters and structures are generated by various simulation results. A modified window framing method is adopted and the log-MAP algorithm is replaced with MAX log-MAP algorithm. This hardware can decode for every data rates specified in IS-2000
