Abstract
Provides an understanding of the Comanche platform capabilities and how the system communicates its information onto the Army´s Tactical Internet and joint forces Link-16 tactical net. The first section covers an overview of the Comanche missions. This is followed by a description of the Comanche avionics architecture. This section covers the different systems that make up the Comanche avionics suite and how they are integrated. Most of the information transmitted from the Comanche to other Army platforms will be across the Tactical Internet. This paper provides a short Tactical Internet overview that describes where the Comanche is connected and what the platform´s expected roll will be. The Comanche will communicate with other forces using the Link-16 tactical net. This paper provides a short description of a Link-16 net and how the Comanche uses it. This is followed by a description of how digital messaging is integrated throughout the avionics system
