Abstract :
We consider combining the MAC protocol and physical layer as a scheme for designing the power control sub-channel for WCDMA multimedia mobile systems. The aim is to make the power control for WCDMA mobile systems more effective. We also analyse the power control problem in WCDMA mobile systems and propose the optimum power control theory of for multi-thresholds based on ranking the priority of multimedia services. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithms can provide better performance for WCDMA cellular mobile systems
