Abstract
Wide-band indoor radio channel measurements have been performed at 5.8 GHz, in order to be used as basis in the deploying of BRAN (broadband radio access networks), and results are given. Both narrow- and wide-band ray-tracing simulations were carried out, comparing their results with the measured ones. Building material characterization at 5.8 GHz was performed by the free-space measurement system, and results are given and used to compute the simulations
