Abstract
In ATM networks, QoS is determined during the establishment of the connections, so it is fixed and static, which deals poorly with the mobility and interactivity of wireless multimedia applications. It is essential for wireless ATM networks to provide a flexible and efficient framework for QoS control, called dynamic QoS. A framework for dynamic QoS control in wireless ATM networks is presented, which allows terminal and network-initiated bandwidth renegotiation to handle wide spatiotemporal traffic dynamic characteristics of the mobile multimedia applications. Also a bandwidth reallocation algorithm based on priority is proposed
