Abstract
This paper presents the methods of generation a random field of dielectric permittivity with a given correlation function. Results are derived from performing a simulation modeling of the mean intensity and a spatial correlation function of the wave field, the dispersion of angles of arrival, and spatial correlation functions of the amplitude and phase of the wave that has propagated through a layer with random inhomogeneities of dielectric permittivity. A comparison is made of the results of calculations of fluctuation characteristics of the radio wave by approximate formulas obtained with the perturbation method with the results of simulation modeling
