Abstract :
The components of human motion that a computer animation can best reproduce have been the topic of recent research. We present some answers through a series of investigations recently run with the human components, such as only the arms, only the legs, only the neck and also with a combination of these components of the human model. The synthetic component models were controlled by a small set of command parameters which were directly used to compute the motion. All visual displays were generated using OpenGL on an SGI Octane Workstation
