Abstract :
One objective of TMN is to provide a method to solve the problems of network management in a multi-vendor environment. As the standard interface, the Q3 interface has provided methods of interconnection of management systems. TMN provides the recommendation of the Q3 interface, but the Q3 interface has many options, and these bring some difficult problems in implementing interconnection of multi-vendor management systems. Describing the Q3 interface in detail, the concept and the procedure for interconnection of network management systems in a multi-vendor environment are introduced
