Abstract :
The capability of detecting and optimizing the performance of the whole network only through a Web browser anywhere and anytime is the goal of modern network management. This paper is based on the project of CAINONET´s performance real-time monitoring and evaluation system (CPMES). We discuss CPMES´s architecture, working policy, key technology and future work. Our system is an ideal distributed platform with attractive features such as tight administrative control; strong authentication and security; simple configuration; and minimal measurement and control traffic. CAINONET is the China advanced info-optical network
