Abstract
A mathematical model of handoff in an integrated voice/data cellular system is developed. In the proposed scheme, the handoff of voice services adopts the scheme of guard channels and the handoff of data services employs the scheme of queueing model. Performances measures obtained include call blocking probability, handoff refused probability and carried traffic. The results show that the scheme can greatly reduce the handoff refused probability of data services. The bigger the proportion of data services, the better the scheme performs
