Abstract :
Due to massive increase in prices of fossil fuels as well as alarming rate of environmental pollution, researchers and scientists are paying good number of attentions towards sustainable energy and technology. Among various sources of renewable energy, fuel cell technology is becoming quite popular now a days. A comprehensive analysis of fuel cell generation and stability enhancement has been presented in this paper. A detailed generation topology of fuel cell system including inverter modeling is focused. To enhance the stability of fuel cell system power electronics based dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is introduced. A symmetrical fault (3 L-G) and an unsymmetrical fault (1 L-G) are applied in this test system. The stability enhancement using this control strategy has been verified by the time domain simulation model developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK.
