Return on investment of introducing Clinical Engineering and Technologist Professionals in Bangladesh

In this paper, the return from the investment of Clinical Engineering & Professional Technologist (CEPT) is introduced. Here, the authors differentiate a hospital health care system with CEPT and without CEPT. Without investment anything could not be achieved. In this field Bangladesh government invested an inferior amount as a result the return from the investment is not reflected. Here, author described the investment versus return in this field. Healthcare engineer, hospital engineer, biomedical equipment technician, equipment managers, technology manager, biomedical engineer, maintenance engineer and healthcare technologist and comedical personnel are defined as Clinical Engineering professionals and Technologist. From the past record, it is found that the investment for hospital equipment is so much high but comparatively for the resource development a negligible budget was made by the public and private hospitals. In this paper a clear picture to be presented about investment versus return from the medical equipment. Policymakers will understand the necessity to introduce of CEPT in the Health Care Management and they will encourage producing more persons in this professionals.
