Abstract
Fiber optical links are optimal for the transmission of high fidelity signals for suboctave analog applications. It is necessary that these systems have a high linearity to satisfy the signal-to-noise ratio at receiver. Nonlinear distortion introduced by the directly modulated laser diode can limit considerably the system performance. We have proposed a novel dualparallel scheme for nonlinearity suppression of directly modulated DFB laser diode. Two-tone experiments were performed to confirm the validity of the proposed scheme. In experiments, the IMD3 reduction of 16dB was obtained
