Abstract
Summary form only given. I present my experimental results on energy transfer, gain dynamics and laser action in thin films of pure and blended polymers. Conjugated polymers have attracted widespread attention as a promising gain material for laser applications. One class of extensively studied materials are, derivatives of poly(pphenylene vinylene) which can be made to lase rather easily in a neat film
