Abstract :
This paper describes the possibility of limiting a received signal´s bandwidth to frequency fg while preserving the given signal information characteristics. As a criterion of selection, frequency fg is proposed to take advantage of a certain function known as the normalized cumulated spectral density of the signal. Achieving a certain value from the range [0,1] by this function shows frequency fg, which stands for receiving band high-frequency limit of the signal y(t). Limiting the signal spectrum causes certain distortion of its time sequence shape, so there was assumed a certain likelihood measure of two signals-reference x(t) and received y(t)-as a correlation factor, whose value for conditions accepted in this article must lie in a strictly defined interval. Limiting the receiving band of the signal in this way significantly decreases the number of components in the received signal spectrum. Simultaneously, the time for further analysis of the receiving signal is minimized
