The aim of the paper is to present the Group of Studies in Automation and Robotics of the Polytechnic Institute of PUC Minas in Brazil and the new project “Platform for the Development of Control, Vision and Navigation Techniques with the use of Multiple Sensors”. This hands-on project forms part of the National Program for Engineering Development of the Brazilian Government
