Title :
Demand not supplied, loss of load probability, and the joint loss of load probability reliability indices for industrial customers
Abstract :
The demand not supplied, loss of load probability, and the joint loss of load probability results provide a reliable conductor configuration for the industrial customers. The industrial configuration includes a single or multiple high voltage conductors. These conductors are loaded within the allowed load limits and in general, they follow forecasted load pattern. The allowed load limit represents the installed load capacity of a given configuration. The demand not supplied and the loss of load probability indices are referred to as DNS and LOLP, respectively. The DNS includes DNS allowed load and DNS forecasted load, whereas the LOLP includes LOLP allowed load and LOLP forecasted load. Once the LOLPs are known, the manager determines the joint LOLP. The joint LOLP represents the probability that the LOLP allowed load event will occur, given that the LOLP forecasted load event has already occurred. The paper presents the DNS and LOLP analysis
