Abstract :
A new Monte Carlo calculated relationship between R50 and E0 for monoenergetic radiotherapy electron beams is presented based on using the EGSnrc code which is an improved version of EGS4. The new values of R50 for a given incident energy are up to 2% more than the previously calculated values although the overall shape after matching R50 values is not changed significantly
