Abstract :
This work describes the calibration of 1000 new TLD-100 TL chip detectors for the Institute of Radiation Protection and Dosimetry programme of dental radiology, including the determination of more realistic skin entrance dose calibration factors. Control TL detectors to be used during field TL detector evaluation, as well as a TL detector quality control programme, that is going to be implemented, are presented. For TL detector evaluation a 5500 Harshaw TL system was utilised
