Abstract :
The authors have proposed an equilibrium point controller (EPC) for nonlinear systems, and have applied it to model power systems, in which each generator has a strong nonlinearity and limiters of AVR and GOV. The aim of this paper is to apply the nonlinear EPC to two model systems, and to show that good control responses and a long critical clearing time can be obtained by the nonlinear decentralized control for the ten-machine system
