Abstract
This paper proposes the analysis and design of a delta modulated PWM voltage source inverter having feedback output voltage for 1-φ induction motor drives. This technique offers good advantages over a conventional delta modulated PWM technique in terms of remaining output voltage fairly constant under variations in load conditions and reducing capacitor value of a DC link filter. DC link ripple is inevitable, especially for finite LC or C filters at heavy load conditions. Consequently, output voltage is reduced, thus decreasing fundamental flux level in induction motors. The proposed technique can overcome such problems. The practical performance evaluation has been made over a wide range of operating conditions
