Abstract :
The purpose of this work is to assess the use of an automatic setup deviation measurement tool developed originally for pelvic fields to head and neck (HandN) fields in external beam radiotherapy using a video based electronic portal imaging device. It is concluded that the algorithm that was developed mainly for bone structures (pelvic fields) deviation measurement can be applied to fields where air canals and soft tissues are of equal importance with bone structures (HandN). Statistical analysis on images from a larger cohort of patients is underway and results will be presented
